7 November 2010 - Franschhoek

·        Hired bikes for the day – did a 33km round trip in the end

        

·        Rode to the prison where Nelson Mandela was ultimately released – didn’t realise that it was still a functioning prison though – and being Sunday, it was clearly visiting day when we arrived

·        Cycled back, stopping of for a recharge at Rickety Bridge Wine Estate – food and a bottle of wine down – we rode home

·        Despite being 5 star, our room was invaded by bees so we had to move in order for Clare to get any sleep that night!
